Oakland Golf Club – Established in 1937, The Oakland Golf club is one of the finest places to play golf in Deep Creek Lake. The club is noted for its tough par 3s, and it offers an 18-hole championship course that is open to the public with a full pro shop, PGA Golf Pro and Mooney's Pub & Restaurant. The course spans 6,417 picturesque yards of gently rolling hills, towering pines, and lush greens. The Club plays host to the annual Western Maryland Amateur Championship, which attracts top amateurs from all over the country to Deep Creek to play golf and test their skills. Wisp Resort Golf Course - Nestled in the shadow of the ski slopes lies the newly rerouted 18-hole Wisp Resort Golf Course. The new layout was honored with an Affinity Award at the 2009 Golf Course Industry Builders Excellence Awards. The course itself is a 6,700 yard, par-71 with a continuous 18 hole loop design as opposed to the traditional nine and back layout and it was ranked as one of the “100 Must-Play Courses of the Mid-Atlantic” by GolfStyles Magazine. Canaan Valley Resort Golf Course – Located across the border in West Virginia, this Geoffrey Cornish designed course is set amidst the gorgeous Allegheny Mountains and Golf Digest Magazine rated the course as the 10th Best Public Course in West Virginia. If you’ve exhausted the options to play golf in Deep Creek, this is a good place to play located a short drive away. The course has a driving range, practice putting green and sand bunker, along with clubhouse, grill, pro shop, golf carts, pull carts, and club rentals.
